The next time linebacker Darius Fleming plays good Samaritan on a road, it will likely take place somewhere other than Massachusetts.
Fleming, a 2012 fifth-round pick of the 49ers, played six regular season games for the Patriots last season, seeing most of his time on special teams, and finished the year with four tackles. He also saw action in five games and made six tackles during the 2010 season.
Fleming gained more notice for his off the field actions in January. After the Patriots beat the Chiefs in the divisional round of the playoffs, Fleming revealed he played the game with 22 stitches in his leg that he got after suffering a cut while kicking out the window of a car that had been in an accident to help a woman out.
