The Dolphins made a flurry of moves on Saturday, including saying goodbye to veteran receiver Greg Jennings.
Jennings has been released after a disappointing season in Miami. The 32-year-old Jennings had just 19 catches for 208 yards in his only season as a Dolphin.
Miami also restructured the contracts of defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh and linebacker Koa Misi. Those moves were expected and will open up some cap space. Suh’s contract, in particular, has the potential to free up a lot of space this year: Before restructuring, Suh was slated to have the highest base salary in the NFL, at $23.485 million.
The Dolphins also announced that they have tendered six exclusive rights free agents: safety Shamiel Gary, wide receiver Matt Hazel, tackle Ulrick John, cornerback Tyler Patmon, tight end Jake Stoneburner and safety Michael Thomas.
