Joseph Randle arrested again

AP

Former Cowboys running back Joseph Randle was arrested for the fifth time in 18 months in February and it didn’t take him long to add another entry to his record.

According to multiple reports, Randle was arrested early Sunday morning in Kansas for failure to appear in court. Sedgwick County jail records show that he was booked after 1 a.m. and is being held on $150,000 bail.

Randle was released on bond last week after being charged with aggravated battery, criminal damage to property and possession of marijuana. A Sedgwick County deputy told KAKE in Wichita that he did not know if the missed court date leading to Sunday’s arrest was related to that case.

It’s been a long line of legal problems for Randle, which have led to a suspension from the league and contributed to his release from the Cowboys last year. It’s almost impossible to imagine any team giving him a look this or any year unless he gets a handle on the issues that keep landing him behind bars.

This guy isn’t in the NFL anymore. Can we stop reporting on him? Let him be a train wreak in peace.

He should share a cell with Titus Young.

  4. ocgunslinger says: Mar 6, 2016 11:39 AM

5 times 1n 18 months? He’s history as far as playing in the NFL as a RB. Now if he was a QB it would probably would get him another arrest before the boot.

This is too funny, especially since he’s been arrested 5 times and he’s on a two month streak

I don’t get the comparisons to Titus Young any more. Young is like a Boy Scout compared to Randle these days.

  13. truthfactory says: Mar 6, 2016 12:02 PM

This is our “racist” criminal justice system at work… Bernie and Hilary say let him go!!!! It’s our fault as a society that he’s in this position.

Lock this guy up… he’s reckless and lost all control. 5 strikes and you’re out.

The guy’s NFL career is over, and he’s already demonstrated that he is incapable of functioning as a member of society. Why does PFT still bother talking about him?

  30. hahalolrofl says: Mar 6, 2016 1:22 PM

Jerry is literally foaming at the mouth to get him back on the field for the boys. Randle is just showing too much potential to pass up jerah!

  31. boston444 says: Mar 6, 2016 1:23 PM

Titus Young 2.0. What a waste of talent. Guess he really “left some meat on the bone” pertaining to his career

  32. pocketcow says: Mar 6, 2016 1:26 PM

Even with 6 arrests in 18 months, Ray Lewis thinks that there’s still a lot of meat left on the bone.

Its sad to see someone so young with opportunities to make something of himself make so many dumb mistakes. How do you miss a court date? A very disillusioned and troubled person. Maybe he’ll seek out and receive some help. It’s obvious to everyone but him that he needs plenty of it.

  35. patsfan says: Mar 6, 2016 1:41 PM

Very soon, his housing, meals and social schedule will be simplified and taken care of by the State of Kansas.

    for the next 3-5 anyway.

  36. jhorton83 says: Mar 6, 2016 1:48 PM

Trying to pattern your career after Titus Young is a pretty big error in judgment.

  37. jag1959 says: Mar 6, 2016 1:49 PM

  40. balewsquare says: Mar 6, 2016 2:32 PM

Can we just admit that this is a mental health issue, that could be treated much more effectively (and presumably, cheaply) with therapy than jailing, paroling, and punishing?

His actions read stupid, but, in reality, he’s living a tragedy.

  45. buckeyefan1026 says: Mar 6, 2016 3:13 PM

There needs to be an “Days without NFL arrest” counter, and a separate “Days without Joseph Randle arrest” counter.

  46. theheyseed says: Mar 6, 2016 3:19 PM

the guy is not a real gem, but arresting him in the middle of the night (booked at 1AM) for failure to appear. Just sounds like the cops are jerking him around. Wonder if they kicked down his door.

  47. ebdug says: Mar 6, 2016 3:28 PM

Suspensions are one thing. Every game comes with a list of players that Goodell is keeping off the field. But this kid is keeping himself off the field with his many trips to jail.

Missed a court date? “See your honor, the thing was, I borrowed an alarm clock from my homey Ryan Mallett.”

Possession? “But they said I had joint custody.”

  52. thegenghiskahn88 says: Mar 8, 2016 4:51 AM

I think he has mental issues… he needs jail time AND a psychological evaluation
