Falcons showing interest in Travis Benjamin

After releasing Roddy White, the Falcons are looking to add another wide receiver. And it may be one who already knows the offense.

The Falcons are interested in free agent wide receiver Travis Benjamin, Vaughn McClure of ESPN reports.

Last month, it was reported that the Browns and Benjamin were getting close to a deal that would keep Benjamin in Cleveland. But with free agency starting tomorrow and no deal done, that no longer appears to be the case.

Benjamin played for Falcons offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan in 2014, so he’d already know the offense in Atlanta.

The 26-year-old Benjamin is coming off his best NFL season, with 68 catches for 966 yards and five touchdowns. He’s the No. 35 player in our Free Agent Hot 100.
