The Steelers continue to try to lock up their own guys, signing another veteran starter before the market opens this afternoon.
While hardly a splash move, he’s been a consistent player as they’ve stabilized their offensive line in recent years. He played every snap last season, and has started 87 after entering the league as an undrafted rookie from Tennessee. He’s only missed five games in the last five seasons after becoming a full-time starter.
The Steelers still have to deal with Kelvin Beachum or find a replacement, as their left tackle is hitting the market today. But a torn ACL suffered last season might make him easier to keep, at least on a short-term deal.
