The San Francisco 49ers are looking into running back depth to pair alongside Carlos Hyde.

According to Adam Caplan of ESPN.com, the 49ers are bringing in former Dallas Cowboys running back Lance Dunbar for a visit.

Dunbar was lost for the season in October when he suffered a torn ACL and partially torn MCL. Dunbar had just five carries for 67 yards before the injury, but his main contribution came as a receiving option out of the backfield. Dunbar caught 21 passes for 215 yards in five games.

Dunbar set career highs in catches and yards despite appearing in just five games.
