After three days as a free agent, Titans nose tackle Al Woods will remain in Tennessee.

Woods signed a three-year deal, $10.5 million contract with the Titans, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. The deal includes $5 million guaranteed, and $2.25 million in playing time incentives that could raise his total take to $12.75 million.

After being primarily a backup for most of his career, Woods had his best NFL season last year, starting nine games for the Titans. Tennessee thinks he can remain a starter this year.

A 2010 fourth-round pick of the Saints, Woods bounced around the league from New Orleans to Pittsburgh to Tampa Bay to Seattle to Pittsburgh again before landing in Tennessee in 2014.

It looks like we are much improved on offense but the defense is still just ok/meh. We must improve our secondary in a division with Luck, Bortles and now Osweiler. If we took ramsey #1 overall I wonder what kind of left tackle we could get with 1st pick in 2nd round. Ramsey is the stud db our defense has been missing since Samari Rolle.

I liked Am Woods when he was with the Steelers and wanted him back when the Titans signed him away. Good to see he’s doing well🙂

We were so excited and happy for Woods (a native Louisianian) when this LSU Tiger was drafted by the Saints.

Alas, he couldn’t cut early on.

So glad to see him succeeding (and earning) in Tennessee. He’s a good guy.
