The Cardinals won’t lose tight end Jermaine Gresham after all.

Although Gresham drew interest from several teams and met with both the Jets and the Bears, he has agreed to re-sign with the Cardinals. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that Gresham is taking less money to stay in Arizona than he was being offered elsewhere.

Although Gresham was much less involved in the passing game in his first year with the Cardinals last year than he had been in his previous five seasons with the Bengals, the Cardinals value his run blocking. He started 12 games last year and is expected to be a starter for the Cardinals again this year.

The 27-year-old Gresham had 18 catches for 223 yards and one touchdown last year, career lows across the board.
