Now’s the time to subscribe to the PFT Live podcast

On Saturday morning, after drinking a little whiskey and rye (but with no Chevys or levies involved, that I can recall) and resisting the urge to burn a couch after the Mountaineers beat Oklahoma, I woke up and looked at the clock. It was 5:55 a.m. ET.

For three or four seconds, the panic was intense: My three-hour radio show starts in five freaking minutes.

And then I realized I wasn’t in danger of missing the show, because the show is only on from Monday through Friday. You won’t have to miss the show no matter when you get up on Monday through Friday, since you can subscribe to the PFT Live podcast and have all three hours of every show delivered to your cell phone device or other equipment via iTunes or audioBoom.

Producer Rob “Stats” Guerrera thinks the opening of Friday’s show was the best first segment we’ve ever done (then again it’s a low bar), so there’s a reason to check out the most recent episode. And here’s the reason to subscribe today -- Monday’s show features a visit from new Vikings guard Alex Boone, who was excellent.

Of course, you can also listen to PFT Live on a live basis on NBC Sports Radio from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. ET, which can be heard at NBCSportsRadio.com, Sirius 213, XM 202, or the NBC Sports radio app. And the last hour of the show is simulcast on NBCSN, so set your DVR now.
