The Bills recently hired a new defensive line coach. They won’t need to hire a new starting defensive tackle.

PFT has confirmed that Kyle Williams has adjusted his 2016 base salary from $6 million to $4.5 million. But Williams has the ability to earn all of it back, with playing-time incentives that begin to kick in at 35 percent.

The Bills also have paid Williams a $500,000 roster bonus, which as a practical matter ensures that Williams will be around in 2016. If he’s eventually cut, he still gets the $500,000.

A fifth-round pick in 2006, the 32-year-old Williams has spent 10 seasons with the Bills. He’s a four-time Pro Bowler, and he was a first-team All-Pro in 2014.
