The Titans won’t have Coty Sensabaugh back with the team in 2016 after he signed with the Rams as a free agent this week, leaving the team with a spot to fill on their depth chart at cornerback.
They filled it on Thursday by announcing the signing of former Steeler Antwon Blake. Blake visited the Titans and Patriots before agreeing to a deal in Tennessee.
He’ll join a cornerback group that also includes Jason McCourty, Perrish Cox, Brice McCain and Blidi Wreh-Wilson. That competition could push Blake out of the starting role he filled for the Steelers last season, which may not be a bad thing given how the Steelers fared in pass defense with Blake in a leading role.
The Titans also announced that they have re-signed offensive lineman Byron Bell. Bell started games at left guard, right tackle and left tackle last season, which will make him a versatile reserve should he fail to land a starting job. If the Titans take Ole Miss tackle Laremy Tunsil with the first overall pick, his best chance of landing said job will likely come at guard.
