Eric Winston wins re-election for NFLPA presidency

Super Bowl Football AP

The Bengals re-signed veteran offensive tackle Eric Winston earlier this offseason. Picking up a side job was even easier.

Winston was just re-elected president of the NFL Players Association, after running unopposed for the job.

This will be Winston’s second two-year term as the face of the players union.

The NFLPA also announced that four new players have been named to the union’s executive committee, with Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis, Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman, Steelers kicker Shaun Suisham and Patriots free agent offensive lineman Ryan Wendell taking over spots on the board.

They replace Ryan Clark, Jay Feely, Brian Waters and Scott Wells on the executive committee.

The other members of the committee who remain include Lorenzo Alexander, Zak DeOssie, Matt Hasselbeck, Mark Herzlich, Adam Vinatieri and Benjamin Watson.

at least they are trying to fight for players health,
on the good side, Bad side, games have gone up about 1000% since my Dad took Me, tickets were $6.00!
a Cup of Coffee was about 10 cents. in the mid 60’s
Tickets for a game now are about $100.00 unless you want a nose bleed.

Interesting that 3 of the 10 man board went to Boston College. Not exactly an NFL football factory. But its telling about the kind of men that school turns out

    32 teams X 53 players per team = 1,696 players

…and only 1 of them is willing to be union prez?

Well, if he failed to get re-elected Goodell would buy him off to get his intel the way Troy Vincent sold out his brothers

All of these guys in the NFL offices aren’t men

They have no idea what honor is

And they’re blatantly stupid about it

The only people who currently believe the Goodell/Vincent version of FrameGate are the same types who think the world is flat… they’re kindof funny – yet ultimately pathetic and sad

Eric Winston, the future Mayor of Cincinatti.
