The Steelers lost a pair of backup linebackers this week when Terence Garvin signed with the Redskins and Sean Spence joined the Titans.
They’re reportedly meeting with a pair of players who could contribute to the 2016 team in similar ways on Friday. Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports that Spencer Paysinger and Michael Morgan are both visiting the Steelers as the week draws to a close.
Paysinger played for the Dolphins last season and made 25 tackles in 14 games. He spent his first four NFL seasons with the Giants and made 10 starts in 2013, but he’s spent the majority of his career as a special teamer and defensive reserve.
Morgan has spent the last five years with the Seahawks and has seen action in 62 of their last 64 regular season games. He started three of those contests, so, like Paysinger, most of his contributions have come on special teams on a weekly basis.
