Ohio State linebacker Darron Lee will participate in the first private workout of his pre-draft process Thursday with the Falcons, ESPN’s Vaughn McClure reported.
The Falcons hold the No. 17 overall pick.
The workout, Scouting Combine and Pro Day circuit fit the athletic Lee, who went from an unheralded recruit and high school quarterback and safety to coveted outside linebacker prospect after two big seasons at Ohio State.
After redshirting in 2013, Lee had 81 tackles and 7.5 sacks for Ohio State’s 2014 national championship team. He had 66 tackles and 4.5 sacks last season.
Lee’s 4.43 in the 40-yard dash at this year’s Scouting Combine was the fastest time among linebackers.
