Bears bring back safety Chris Prosinski

The Bears brought back a familiar face, giving them some secondary depth.

The team announced they had re-signed safety Chris Prosinski, bringing him back for another year.

They signed him last September, after he was released in final cuts by the Eagles.

A former fourth-round pick out of Wyoming by the Jaguars, he started five games for the Bears last season, and 14 in his five NFL seasons.

Good for him I guess. The Bears special teams have a lot of room to improve so apparently the front office figures he’s more part of the solution than the problem.

We need to obtain a lockdown corner and one more solid safety. Fuller could still grow into the lockdown CB and Amos looks pretty promising at safety, but the secondary has to be addressed in the draft with no less than two picks.

He wasn’t great but he wasn’t bad. He made some good plays and he was a good special teamer. Another year in system could do him good. I wouldn’t count out anyone with Vic!!!

Picking off the hapless little erin Rogers will be on his resume again!

With a name like Prosinski, he had to re-sign and stay in Chicago.

Meh…warm body and not much else. Still need to address the position via early round draft.

Keanu Neal would be a nice 2nd rd choice IMO. He’d put the fear factor back in the Bears D.
