Dolphins bring back linebacker Spencer Paysinger for another year

This is the time of year when veteran free agents come cheap, and teams will try to hang onto known commodities.

That happened in Miami today, as the Dolphins re-signed linebacker Spencer Paysinger, via his own Twitter account.

Paysinger’s primarily a special teamer, but gives the Dolphins some experienced depth behind a group including recently acquired middle linebacker Kiko Alonso.

Paysinger signed with Miami last offseason after spending his first four years with the Giants. He started 10 games for the Giants in 2013, but has settled into a reserve role otherwise.

  1. Good signing, cheap Veteran depth and good Special Teams play. BTW- he actually made this shoe-string tackle which means your “backup bears RB” goes down with a slight wind. It was a Pre-Season Game and The Dolphins Starters went up 10-0 before the half and then put in the scrubs. Booyah!

  3. what do dolphins fan think about drafting elliot with the #13 pick? thumbs up if you like it or thumbs down if you dont

  4. Wow that’s breaking news, this team has to be excited now. The fish and the squid. Cmon tell us all he excelled for you and this was a great signing. Cause what he did for you in that one game when you were down by 2 and then he made a whole tackle and we line up and won the game with a FG.
