With compensatory picks awarded and forfeited picks accounted for, the NFL released its official 2016 draft order on Tuesday.

Compensatory picks start with pick No. 95 at the end of the third round. Compensatory picks can not be traded until next year. Notable this year are forfeited picks, starting with the Patriots at what would have been No. 29 in the first round. That means the Browns will start the second round with the 32nd overall pick.

The Titans pick first in odd-numbered rounds, and the Browns pick first in the even-numbered rounds.

The Chiefs also forfeited their third-round pick as a result of tampering with Jeremy Maclin. The Rams used their fifth-round pick in last year’s supplemental draft on offensive tackle Isaiah Battle.

The most compensatory picks come in the sixth round, with 14. There are nine compensatory picks in the fourth round.

Give the Pats their draft picks back scum bags and stop trying to railroad your premier QB & franchise.

Dallas is sitting pretty…lets make something of these picks!

I don’t like the idea of being able to trade compensatory picks,. The NFL is already rewarding cheapness and drafting poorly with the compensatory pick system, why give those teams more benefits?

Maybe they can draft a clavicle to give to Romo.

“stop trying to railroad your premier QB & franchise.”
The Packers, Cowboys, Steelers, and Giants all have their first round pick. Oh, you’re talking about that franchise that sucked for 50 years until it started cheating and now they think they are a keystone franchise…my mistake.

  6. jchipwood says: Mar 29, 2016 12:09 PM

Why don’t the patriots have a pick? Oh yeah the Colts caught them cheating. Just like the Jetd caught them the first time. Not the NFL and Goodell, but other teams.

  7. beauregard says: Mar 29, 2016 12:09 PM

Once again, New England is penalized for..Cheating.
    Huh…go figure.

  8. chuckshontaspads says: Mar 29, 2016 12:10 PM

Can’t beat em’ so make up a scandal and steal picks. Irsay, Biscotti, Jones, Goodell, Vincent, Kensil, Wells, Exponant….Bastions if Integrity

“Oh, you’re talking about that franchise that sucked for 50 years until it started cheating and now they think they are a keystone franchise…my mistake.”

They came into the NFL in 1970 and since then they were able to accomplish this:

    Conference championships (8)
    AFC: 1985, 1996, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2007, 2011, 2014

    Division championships (18)
    AFC East: 1978, 1986, 1996, 1997, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015

    Playoff appearances (23)
    NFL: 1976, 1978, 1982, 1985, 1986, 1994, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015

Ya I guess it was your mistake

Jets film Patriots’ defensive signals: Slap on the wrist
Patriots film Jets’ defensive signals: Loss of 1st round pick, fine.

    Rodgers overinflates footballs: No comment.
Brady “possibly” deflates footballs: 4 games suspension, 1 million dollar fine and loss of 1st and 4th round pick for the organization for some reason.

    Jets tamper: 100,000 dollar fine
Chiefs tamper: Loss of draft picks, and fine.

I am fine with these punishments if they are consistent, they are not. They are based on off bias just like the explanations to why they are fair punishments. People act like taping signals is the same as having the entire game plan and knowing what they are calling before the play happens. And that deflating a football makes it impossible to throw an incompletion. I cant make an analogy for the KCC though because that one is just completely unfair, if you are found guilty for tampering why is one team fined and the other team fined more and loses draft picks?

  11. edelmanfanclub says: Mar 29, 2016 12:26 PM

Even if you morons think Brady cheated what does that have to do with the rest of the organization? By that logic, shouldnt every team be punished when their player’s do anything wrong? The punishment makes no sense, it was made by a moron who favors teams who can’t handle the success of another team for an extended period of time.

  12. jimmyt says: Mar 29, 2016 12:31 PM

BB will cheat again (and get caught), he can’t help it.

  14. patsfan4lifesbchamps says: Mar 29, 2016 12:36 PM

We are in win now with grandpa Brady so we need impact players and it would have been hard to find any at 29. This is really not a big loss.

  15. minneanderthals says: Mar 29, 2016 12:38 PM

It’s obvious that it was more than just Brady

    Hence the team punishment.

dude… you forgetting something; Patriot had libabry filled with tapes of each teams.. While Jet had just box filled with tapes…

Patriot been cheating since they cheated wins against St.Louis Rams, feat Warner and Faulk.. They accused them cheating… So, it make logicial sense how long Patriots been cheating since, and they cheated alot, but now they reducing to what they can cheated in “Grey area”

It’s pathetic, and Goddell did you patriot fans a favor, he burns all the tapes to get rid of evidences, so they won’t trace you back in future..

    you don’t even know it!

  18. jetsfan136 says: Mar 29, 2016 1:13 PM

Patriots admitted sending employees into the other teams locker room to steal play sheets. September 1995. PFT was on it.

  19. ragnarthemagnificent says: Mar 29, 2016 1:14 PM

I heard the Frowns have converted their practice facility into a homeless shelter to get inside Intel on the draft.

    It’s not funny anymore.

September 2015 was the play sheet stealing scandal. Not 95

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

It isn’t being “cheap” that causes teams to lose good players in free agency and then to get compensatory picks……It is actually the opposite…Teams that have cap space issues can’t compete with the price there own free agents can obtain and they are unable to go out and sign others. The difference (up to 4 max) in loss and types of contracts signed, results in the number and ranking of the comp awarded. It is designed to limit raiding of teams players and totally ruining a good team. It has nothing to do with rewarding the cheap, poorly drafting teams. Just the contrary.

I have given thought to the trading of comp picks and think that it really is okay. It will make the whole process more consistent and likely will make them more valuable.

Nothing like the mere mention of the Patriots in a news story to bring out the most idiotic section of American society spouting their foolishness.

    Most entertaining indeed.

  23. jetsfan136 says: Mar 29, 2016 1:41 PM

It’s a nice campaign you have going where you call people names, UK and Edelmanfc…..but your owner already admitted to cheating and the team has been fined. There is no way the CEO or head of any company or organization admits to cheating if he thinks it was not going on. If he is told by his underlings it wasn’t happening, he fights it. Obviously he was not told that.

  25. tigerlilac says: Mar 29, 2016 2:31 PM

Goodell, no doubt, will be making public statements about how important the NFL draft, and particularly first round choices, is to fans. He will say this knowing he robbed Patriots fans of their first round pick to cozy up with owners that can’t earn it on the field of play.

I don’t know. Maybe he should be taking advice from Elway on how to pay players under the table to circumvent the salary cap.

The Ravens have to love 7 picks in the top 135! They have a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and FOUR 4th round picks!

  28. lanman11 says: Mar 29, 2016 3:11 PM

Tha Patriots could pick their nose, and still beat your team, year in, and year out, because they are that far ahead, and that’s what really bothers the trollers.

  29. lscottman3 says: Mar 29, 2016 3:27 PM

To the people who believe the patriots cheated the Rams

Watch the bio on Mike singltary and what he pronounced after the Bears destroyed the patriots in SB XX

“We knew their plays, we knew what they were going to do”

Do you think the Bears cheated?

Filmed the patriots wLk through or practices?

    Of course not
It took hours of watching film

    Hard work

That’s what the patriots have done under BB

But of course the easy way is to blame the other team of cheating

And of course that also why no Rams team has sniffed the SB since

Or the other dumb lazy teams that accuse the pats of cheating

And their stupid fans lap it up
Instead of asking for excellence they listen to BS

  30. ariani1985 says: Mar 29, 2016 3:58 PM

Just being honest. It’s nothing personal.

Just another thing that we do better than you.

    Among many things.
