Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt said 2015 was the toughest on his body so far. Given the extent of the injuries he played through last season, it’s remarkable he was able to play every game.

According to Tania Ganguli of ESPN.com, Watt had five separate partially or fully torn muscles in his core region.

Watt had torn adductor, abdominal and groin muscles that somehow didn’t keep him off the field. Not to mention that he also suffered a broken hand in December as well and had to play the final three games of the season with a clubbed cast on his hand.

Watt still managed to rack up 17.5 sacks, eight passes defended and three forced fumbles on the year despite all the injuries that hampered him last year.

He’s still never missed a game in his career. And if all this didn’t keep him out of a game last year, it’s tough to envision just what will keep Watt on the sidelines.
