Free agent defensive end Wallace Gilberry will sign with the Lions, his agent announced Monday.
A former undrafted free agent, Gilberry broke into the league with the Chiefs in 2008. He played four seasons with the Chiefs and the last four with the Bengals.
Though he’s mostly been a backup and a situational pass rusher, Gilberry, 31, started all 16 games for the Bengals in 2014. He’s started 22 of 115 career games and has 31.5 career sacks. He had a career-best 7.5 sacks in 2013.
Gilberry ranked No. 90 on PFT’s Hot 100 Free Agents List.
