Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton’s liking the looks of his new receiving corps, but they might not be through offering him options.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Bengals worked out former Giants wideout Hakeem Nicks today.
Nicks caught seven passes in his six-game reunion with the Giants last year, after his disappointing 2014 stint with the Colts.
In fact, it’s been a really long time since the 28-year-old former first-rounder has really done anything to help a team. He hasn’t registered as many as 60 passes or 900 receiving yards since 2011.
The Bengals could probably use another veteran option, after losing Marvin Jones and Mohamed Sanu and bringing in Brandon LaFell. It’s just unclear if Nicks can be one, or just another guy they’re looking at like Mike Williams.
