After a brief absence due to an allergic reaction, Dolphins first-round draft pick Laremy Tunsil appeared in Miami this afternoon but declined to discuss the issues that arose during last night’s draft.

Asked who hacked his Twitter account to post a video showing him smoking a bong while wearing a gas mask, Tunsil answered, “I don’t know nothing about that. I’m here to talk about the Miami Dolphins.”

Asked about the text messages that appeared on his hacked Instagram account appearing to show Tunsil asking an Ole Miss coach for money, Tunsil answered, “I’m here to talk about the Miami Dolphins.”

Asked about Ole Miss releasing a statement about potential NCAA violations involving him, Tunsil answered, “I’m just here to talk about the Miami Dolphins.”

Are you sensing a theme yet?

Tunsil did say he’s looking forward to being a Dolphin and grateful to be drafted at all, even if he slipped from a projected Top 5 pick to No. 13 overall.

“It’s exciting just to be a part of this organization,” Tunsil said. “I got drafted in the NFL so I’m happy.”

Tunsil said that with a smile, suggesting that he’s enjoying his first day in the NFL after a rough entrance to the NFL.

  1. This sure has that feel to it like it’s gonna end badly.

Just get that feeling that it’s going to be one thing after another…….

  2. We’re on to Cincinnati; delete your twitter, facebook, webpage and all other social media. Work at your craft, keep you nose clean (literally and figuratively as it is Miami) and be the best player you can be. Be a bookend left tackle, make a lot of money (more importantly save some money) and retire in your early thirties and enjoy your life. Somewhere Bill Belichick is smiling.

  3. What a clown – he doesn’t know when to shut up and how to keep his passwords to himself. “Hacked”? Come on – he had TWO accounts “hacked” in a matter of minutes. That’s an “inside job” and he has only himself to blame.

And then throwing his college team under the bus after being drafted? Total. Loser.

  4. Nothing good would come of answering any more questions, if he stops talking the media will eventually move on. Sounds like his agent is earning that money today.

  5. “I don’t know nothing about that….”

So that means he knows something.

  6. Tunsil is a great kid and a HOF player. There are a lot of HOF players who smoked pot in college. There are a lot of doctors, lawyers, and judges who smoked pot in college. There are a lot of great kids who took money from universities to assist their families. Go to Lake City, Florida sometime and see where this kid grew up. These are young immature kids. They have excuses. What’s our excuse? We’re saying some pretty stupid things, and I’ll bet a lot of us are old enough to know better.

  7. So Miami took the high guy who will take a payoff for playing football?

nice to know that Miami continues it’s long tradition of smart draft decisions

  8. The people bad mouthing this kid are the same people mad their team didn’t take him. He’s the best player in this years draft and Miami got him.

  9. Allergic Reaction stops him from first presser? Mike Tannebaum you are a true Genius. Geno right now is pissed you trotted him out after all those INT’s to face the media, he could used the ” Im allergic to throwin to wide receivers” as a ‘scuse for al those INT’s LOL

  10. The social media issues are only a symptom of much much larger problems with this man. By the way, stop calling him a kid he’s a highly paid grown man.

  11. Good job young man! Ignore all the outside and focus on your craft. Deal with any fallout from your statement about your coaches at Ole’Miss and move on. Have a great career!!!

    _________

Back the hyperbole bus up. Guy is loaded with talent but let’s see a few snaps before he gets fitted for the gold jacket

  13. I am very happy with this pick. I feel bad for him because he may have lost some cash but His misfortune is a God-send for the hapless Dolphins. The kid is a stud football player. That means he hits other men up the side of the head for a living. I don’t care what moronic crap he did at Ole Miss. Welcome to Miami young man!
