The Panthers churned their roster on Friday by swapping out a pair of tight ends in favor of two wide receivers.

The new arrivals to the 90-man roster are LaRon Byrd and Tobias Palmer, both of whom have been bouncing around the league for the last few years. The Panthers announced that undrafted rookies Andrew Bonnet and Jake McGee have been waived to accommodate the newcomers.

Byrd made the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent in 2012 and caught one pass for eight yards in four appearances with Arizona that season. He spent 2013 on injured reserve and was released in 2014. He’s since spent time with the Cowboys, Browns, Dolphins, Falcons and Redskins while seeing action in one 2014 game with Cleveland.

Palmer played one game for the Jaguars in 2014 and has since been a member of the Chargers, Saints, Bills and Steelers without seeing any regular season snaps.
