Colts punter Pat McAfee recovering from knee surgery

The Colts might not have as much quarterback depth the rest of OTAs and minicamp, but should be back to full strength by training camp.

Colts punter/emergency quarterback volunteer Pat McAfee had surgery this offseason on his left (non-kicking) knee, but expects to be ready for training camp.

McAfee told WFNI-AM that he had the procedure done earlier this offseason, and was largely through the rehab.

“I had surgery like six weeks ago, seven weeks ago on my left knee to clean it up,” he said. “The first couple weeks of rehab were a little tough, but I’m on the back end of it right now. . . .

“When training camp comes around, I’ll be 100 percent and I can’t wait.”

He said he was 85 to 90 percent now, which gives him time to strengthen up his leg, and his arm if need be, for the coming season.
