Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski declined to talk about why he didn’t practice at last week’s minicamp, but his absence from the field won’t be a discussion point this week.

Beat reporters at Monday’s OTA practice in New England have passed along word that Gronkowski is back on the field and Mike Reiss of ESPN.com shared a video of him reeling in a pass during the session. He wasn’t the only offensive player whose appearance at practice was worthy of note.

Running back Dion Lewis went through drills with the team as he continues to make his way back from the torn ACL that brought his 2015 season to an early end. Mark Daniels of the Providence Journal has video of Lewis getting back into the swing of things, a process that will likely continue through at least the early part of training camp.

Getting him back on the field now is a good sign that he’ll be doing more as camp unfolds, however, and it provides reason for optimism that he’ll be in the lineup for the start of the regular season. Lewis had 612 yards from scrimmage in seven games last season before getting hurt in early November.
