The Bengals and Vikings announced Thursday that they’ll hold two days of joint practices this August in Cincinnati ahead of the preseason opener.

The practices will be held Aug. 10-11 on the practice fields adjacent to Paul Brown Stadium. Given the friendship and history between Bengals coach Marvin Lewis and Vikings coach Mike Zimmer, it was pretty easy to see this announcement coming.

“Our past experiences with joint practices have been good,” Lewis said in the team’s news release. “You put yourself on the field with another team and let the competitive juices flow a little bit. And it’s great that we could work this out with Zim.”

The Bengals haven’t yet announced their full training camp schedule.
