One of the most influential people in Las Vegas is pushing for the Raiders to come to town.

Steve Wynn, the billionaire casino mogul who owns the Wynn Las Vegas Resort, says he’s actively working to help with the effort of attracting the Raiders.

“Absolutely love it,” Wynn told TMZ. “I’m really, really working hard to make sure that can happen. I’m really a big booster. I think having the Raiders in Las Vegas is the perfect thing to complement the city and to give everyone another excuse to come to Las Vegas.”

When the idea of the Raiders leaving Oakland to go to Las Vegas was first floated, there was a lot of talk that the NFL and Vegas were not a good fit. But that talk has largely gone out the window, as important people in Las Vegas are angling for the construction of a stadium, and the NFL is signaling that the league would gladly put a team there if the stadium deal is right.

With each passing day, the prospect of the Raiders in Las Vegas looks more likely.
