Jason Kelce didn’t like the switch from LeSean McCoy to DeMarco Murray

Last year, Eagles coach Chip Kelly sent running back LeSean McCoy packing and signed running back DeMarco Murray. That didn’t work, and it’s no surprise that not all of the Eagles’ players were on board with it.

Eagles center Jason Kelce said on 94.1 WIP that there was a lot of blame to go around for the Eagles’ lousy running attack last season, but a big portion of the blame had to do with the change at running back.

“I don’t think necessarily we had the best back that we had a few years ago either,” Kelce said, via PhillyVoice.com.

McCoy ran for 1,319 yards as the Eagles’ starting running back in 2014, while Murray managed just 702 yards in 2015. Kelly did a poor job of recognizing which players would fit his offense, and that’s why neither Kelly nor Murray is still in Philadelphia.
