Getty ImagesBengals rookie defensive tackle Andrew Billings will undergo an MRI after he left Wednesday’s joint practice with the Vikings on a cart.
Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com wrote that the team has “cautious optimism” that the MRI will reveal something besides a season-ending injury and that the hope is a “cartilage tear, at most.”
Trainers looked at Billings’ lower leg and knee before calling for the cart. He got tangled up with another player during a pass rush drill.
A fourth-round pick, Billings is expected to be an immediate contributor for the Bengals, who last week lost first-round cornerback William Jackson III to a torn pectoral.
that’s what you get when you steal Pittsburgh’s draft picks
both of those guys were going to be drafted by the steelers
but Cincinnati thought they were being slick
now both of those guy will be on IR
Carma!!
Damn tough losses. Two players with first to second round grades down before the season starts.
He’s too heavy and needs to lose weight. That’s why Steelers took, Javon Hargrave over Billings, since more of a 3 down player that is filthy quick inside. Billings is a 2 down guy to stop the run.
Nice spelling of Karma . #educatedsteelersfans

hmmm, would I rather lose a couple rookies for a few weeks from injuries sustained on the field or two very important starters because they are too stupid to pass a drug test?
I’ll go with the former.
Clearly the Bengals have taken residence in the minds of Steelers fans.
You hate that which you fear.
Someone should coach these guys to not run into each other. Maybe the former coach of the Bad News Bears is available.
