The Saints have signed veteran cornerback Cortland Finnegan, per multiple reports.

Finnegan, 32, played in five games last season for the Panthers. The Saints become his fourth team in four years.

In his prime, Finnegan was one of the NFL’s best cornerbacks. He was a first-team All-Pro in 2008 with the Titans and recorded five interceptions in both 2008 and 2009.

He has 18 career interceptions and has played in 133 career games. The Saints have added a bunch of veterans to their defense since March, and Finnegan will get the rest of camp and the preseason to prove to the team he can still play.
