Bears cornerback Kyle Fuller will miss several weeks after having arthroscopic knee surgery.

Bears Coach John Fox confirmed that Fuller had surgery after the Bears’ preseason game Thursday night. Fox said Fuller will be “week to week,” but three weeks away from the season opener it seems unlikely Fuller will be able to return by then.

Earlier Thursday, Bears general manager Ryan Pace said the team was exploring all options regarding Fuller’s injury. The Bears left Fuller in Chicago this week while they practiced with the Patriots ahead of their Thursday night preseason game.

The injury has been bothering Fuller since the spring. The Bears are very young at cornerback behind Fuller and Tracy Porter, making the remaining two preseason games very important for those young cornerbacks trying to win jobs.
