Safety Antonio Allen and the Jets have been reunited.

Allen, released by the Texans last weekend, signed with the Jets on Tuesday. He was a seventh-round pick of the Jets in 2012 and played in 38 games, starting 18, from 2012-14.

Allen missed all of last season due to a torn Achilles tendon. He signed with the Texans in March but was released on Saturday.

The Jets had kept just three safeties on their initial roster before signing Allen.
