One of the prevailing themes of the Colts offseason was the need to keep quarterback Andrew Luck on the field after an injury-filled 2015 season that saw the Colts miss the playoffs for the first time since drafting Luck first overall in the 2012 draft.

Given that focus, it was hard to miss Luck’s name on the Colts’ crowded practice report on Wednesday. Luck was listed as limited in practice with his right shoulder given as the reason for less than full participation.

Luck has been running the first team at Colts practices since the start of offseason work and there’s been no sign of any shoulder issue before Wednesday. Stephen Holder of the Indianapolis Star reports that Luck looked fine while throwing during the portion of practice open to the media and the Colts website says he “will be on the field” against the Lions this weekend.

Despite that, coach Chuck Pagano will certainly be asked about the listing the next time he talks to the media and Luck’s status in Thursday’s practice will be watched closely for any other signs that things are less than 100 percent for the most important player on Indy’s offense.
