The Broncos have turned in their first injury report of the 2016 regular season and it brings bad news about wide receiver Bennie Fowler’s status for Thursday night’s game against the Panthers.

Fowler has been ruled out for the contest after missing practice all this week. Fowler suffered a small fracture in his elbow during his first appearance of the preseason and has been wearing a brace, but his lack of activity during the week made his absence on Thursday the expected outcome.

Jordan Taylor, Jordan Norwood and Cody Latimer will be the wideouts behind Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders with Fowler out of the lineup.

The Broncos also listed tight end Jeff Heuerman (ankle), center James Ferentz (knee) and tackle Ty Sambrailo (elbow) as questionable for the game. All three players were limited participants in practice the last two days.

Luckily for Denver they are stacked at WR. Fowler should emerge as the team’s third receiver.
