The Lions and running back Theo Riddick have agreed to a three-year contract extension, NFL Network reported Friday.

The report said it’s a three-year deal worth $12.75 million for Riddick, who was a sixth-round pick of the Lions in 2013.

Riddick played in all 16 games last season. He caught 80 passes for 697 yards and three touchdowns and ran 43 times for 133 yards. As the extension indicates, he’s expected to again play a significant role in the Lions’ revamped offense.

The Lions also extended punter Sam Martin’s contract Friday.

This kid is actually pretty good, but the Lions are still dumpster fire (Construction grade) of the NFCN.

Been watching this kid since high school in NJ. A humble, hard working guy who deserves all he gets. Great role model for kids who still comes back and gives his time to IHS. These are the kind of guys the NFL should be showcasing…

That’s the other one. This is the one who is a great receiving target out of the backfield but can’t run up the middle.
