Vikings Coach Mike Zimmer told reporters Friday that he’s decided who his starting quarterback will be for Sunday’s season opener, but he won’t announce until Sunday whether Shaun Hill or Sam Bradford will start.

That meshes with what Zimmer previously said about keeping the Titans guessing until Sunday. Hill and Bradford split reps with the No. 1 offense in the limited time practice was open to the media this week.

The Vikings acquired Bradford in a trade last weekend, and he’ll be the starter once he catches up with the playbook and gets comfortable with his new teammates and surroundings. Whether or not he already has caught up to Zimmer’s liking, we’ll find out Sunday.

Zimmer and his staff are concerned that the Titans and defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau will bring out complicated defenses and blitzes that could make Bradford uncomfortable and challenge his comfort level with the Vikings’ verbiage and his ability to change plays at the line of scrimmage.

Titans Coach Mike Mularkey said this week he’s expecting Bradford to be the starter.
