Cardinals take advantage of another Patriots fumble to narrow the gap

The Cardinals haven’t been particularly sharp tonight.

But they have been timely.

The Cards took advantage of a second New England fumble to cut the gap to 17-14, with both their touchdowns coming off turnovers.

Cards running back David Johnson took it in from 1 yard out for the touchdown, keeping things close as we approach the fourth quarter.

The Patriots have been the sharper team offensively, other than the pesky fumbles. LeGarrette Blount’s turned a 10-point lead into a field goal margin in a hurry.

New England has called a fairly conservative game with Jimmy Garoppolo under center, but the turnover may force them to loosen the reins a bit.

I’d like to be the 3rd idiot in the queue, but I just can’t think of anything stupid enough to qualify.

Last year the Pats had an extremely low fumble rate, how do you explain that? I guess they must have been deflating too?

As a Colts fan I am so happy the Pats won tonight. As a matter of fact, I hope they win their next 3 games as well. Then when TB comes back from his 4 game suspension the great and all knowing BB will have to decide to stay with “hot hand” Jimmy G or the Lord and Savior of NE, Tommy Boy. Will BB use the “better to rid of a guy a year to early than a year to late” strategy? I can’t wait to hear the fickle POS fan base dump all over Brady if BB decides to stay with Jimmy G or if they go 4-0 and put Brady in and God forbid they lose a couple of games and the fans go crazy and FTF out and call for BB to be fired. Either way, it doesn’t get any better for the rest of us “haters”. Remember this. “Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown”.

Patriots fans: Always miserable even with a big win.
