Dak Prescott moving Cowboys everywhere but into the end zone

The Giants spent a lot of money to bring in a new look defense, but they look a lot like last year’s version through the first two Cowboys drives of the game.

The Cowboys opened the game with a 15-play, 70-yard drive and then followed it up with a 15-play, 52-yard jaunt that left them with more than 16 minutes of possession in the first 19 minutes of action. The one saving grace for the Giants has been that the Cowboys haven’t been able to get into the end zone and lead 6-0 after a pair of Dan Bailey field goals.

Dak Prescott is 11-of-14 for 96 yards and the Cowboys have converted on 4-of-6 third down opportunities thus far. One incompletion was a drop and another came on a good play by Giants cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie on a shot to Dez Bryant in the end zone.

The Giants offense will now try to get a long drive of their own going so that their defense can rest up and find the push that the team paid up to get this offseason.
