Packers sharp, but Jaguars are hanging with them

Not too many teams can stand toe-to-toe with Aaron Rodgers when he’s on.

And make no mistake, the Packers quarterback is on today.

But in a mild surprise, the Jaguars are doing a pretty good job of matching him play-for-play.

The Packers are up 21-17 at halftime, after a sensational touchdown pass to Davante Adams. Rodgers was being pulled down from behind by Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey, but threw across the field to Adams, who was able to avoid a mugging of his own to make the grab.

It was a huge play, but the young Jaguars have shown some resilience.

Blake Bortles has thrown for 187 yards and a touchdown after an early interception, and T.J. Yeldon as added a touchdown on the ground. But on a hot day in Jacksonville, the Jaguars have had moments when they looked like they’re perfectly capable of hanging around.

While that may sound a little patronizing, the Jaguars have teased with potential on offense lately, but could be closing in on delivering.

I wouldn’t say the Pack is sharp. Young DBs a bit undisciplined but the stars came out in Q2. Need sustained drives in 2nd half.

The Packers aren’t sharp at all. And are still winning.

Packers winning. Vikings losing. Some things never change.

Packers should be happy they are in a terrible division.

Mr. Gantt claims that Rodgers was “on” today.

Was it the 5.85 YPA or the 58 completion percentage that led you to that conclusion?
