Browns quarterback Robert Griffin III told reporters after Sunday’s loss to the Eagles that he suffered a sprained shoulder from a hit he took in the fourth quarter.
Griffin returned for the game’s final drive and said he’ll be OK for next week’s game vs. the Ravens.
Griffin took a stiff shot to his upper body -- it was difficult to tell if he took a helmet to his neck, chest or shoulder -- while trying to get out of bounds on a fourth-quarter scramble. TV cameras showed medical staff talking with Griffin on the sideline, and though Griffin appeared to be in pain he finished the game.
The Eagles sacked Griffin three times. Griffin was 12-of-26 passing for 190 yards in the game, his first with the Browns and first since 2014.
