The second half of Sunday’s game between the Cowboys and Giants has looked a lot like the first with one big difference.
The Cowboys were able to get into the end zone in the third quarter after settling for three field goals in the first half and lead the Giants 19-13 with 14 minutes to play. The touchdown came on an eight-yard run by rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott and the Cowboys added three more after another long drive that’s left them with a 31:35-14:26 edge in time of possession.
One worry for the offense going forward will be the health of left tackle Tyron Smith. He left with a neck injury and his return is being called questionable by the team.
Dak Prescott saw more pressure after Smith left the game, a positive change for the Giants defense with time running down in Dallas.
UPDATE 6:46 p.m. ET: Smith returned for the next Cowboys possession.
