Cards lineman Frostee Rucker to miss 2-3 weeks with MCL sprain

The Cardinals lost a key defensive lineman for a few weeks, in addition to last night’s game.

According to Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic, Cardinals defensive tackle Frostee Rucker will miss two or three weeks after spraining his MCL in last night’s loss to the Patriots.

The 32-year-old Rucker started the season on the physically unable to perform list after ankle surgery, but was activated halfway through camp.

The former Bengals third-rounder has become a steady performer for the Cardinals, with 8.0 sacks the last two seasons.

Without him, they’ll need more from first-rounder Robert Nkemdiche, which sort of makes this his window of opportunity.

Man, an ice cold Frostee Rucker would really hit the spot right now.

It’s ok, the Cards need to lose 5 or 6 starters before they go on the road and play an overhyped opponent. Hen they might win just like the Pats last night.

I can think of one overhyped opponent the Cardinals crushed on the road last year – the Seattle Seahawks. Man, they are really overhyped too – 12 points in a home game against the Dolphins, 10 points against the Vikes, and 0 points in the first half against the Panthers. Yeah, that overhyped Russell Wilson is really putting points up in droves, isn’t he?

This is about where terminology gets all out of wack. A close game which ends in a loss doesn’t qualify as being crushed. 36-6 and 49-15….now that is the definition of being crushed. If you prefer blown out, waxed, or throttled I can change the wording.

How in the world do you lose, at home, to the Pats second string?

    Superbowl contender?
