For a team hoping to avoid going 7-9 yet again, the Los Angeles Rams have not gotten off to a strong start against the San Francisco 49ers.

Carlos Hyde scored on an 11-yard touchdown run to cap a 10-play drive as the 49ers grabbed a 7-0 lead over the Rams on Monday night.

In two possessions with Case Keenum at quarterback, the Rams have managed to move the ball just 31 total yards.

Hyde reached the end zone for the first time since Week 5 of last season. He missed the second half of the year due to a stress fracture in his left foot that required offseason surgery.

Hyde rushed for 168 yards and two touchdowns in last year’s season opener against the Minnesota Vikings last year on in the second game of the Monday night doubleheader. He’s already got 35 yards on five carries and a touchdown against the Rams through the first quarter.
