Cordy Glenn hurt same ankle that kept him out of preseason

Wide receiver Sammy Watkins isn’t the only Bills offensive player dealing with a familiar injury after the first week of the regular season.

Left tackle Cordy Glenn left Sunday’s loss to the Ravens with an ankle injury and coach Rex Ryan said on Monday that the injury is to the same ankle that Glenn hurt this summer. That high-ankle sprain kept Glenn out of the lineup for the entire preseason slate.

If the injury is similar to that one, the Bills will almost certainly be without Glenn for this Thursday’s game against the Jets and likely be without him for a while beyond that contest.

Cyrus Kouandjio replaced Glenn after he got hurt against Baltimore and the team would need to make a move to bring in reserve help because Seantrel Henderson is suspended for three more games.

Poor Rex. It’s never easy for the worlds greatest coach.

Kouandijo was a disaster his first 2 seasons. That said, he was really solid through the entire preseason this year and held up well late against the Ravens. Hes a far worse run blocker but he pass blocks decently

Hes down 6 starters already. Playing without a quarter of your starting roster to start the season isnt exactly easy mode

The only way to salvage this is with Sanchez. It’s time.

Well, at least BUF has that off-season championship to look back on. Nobody taking that away.
