Redskins wide receiver Josh Doctson is active and set to make his NFL debut Monday night vs. the Steelers.
Doctson, the team’s first-round pick last spring, had been listed as questionable. He missed all of training camp and the preseason while recovering from an Achilles injury suffered in May.
Inactive for the Redskins are rookie cornerback Kendall Fuller, rookie quarterback Nate Sudfeld, wide receiver Rashad Ross, safety Duke Ihenacho, center Austin Reiter, defensive end Anthony Lanier and guard Arie Kouandjio.
The Steelers had previously announced that starting wide receiver Markus Wheaton, starting fullback Roosevelt Nix, cornerback Senquez Golson and backup offensive lineman Cody Wallace would miss the game due to injury. Also inactive for the Steelers are quarterback Zach Mettenberger, linebacker Steven Johnson and defensive end L.T. Walton.
The absence of Wheaton should mean extra reps for Darrius Heyward-Bey, Sammie Coates and Eli Rogers.
