Vikings coach Mike Zimmer wasn’t ready to talk about who will start at quarterback in Week Two after the Vikings came back to beat the Titans 25-16 on Sunday and he said Monday he’s not going to be ready to talk about it in the next few days either.
Zimmer said that he’s going to play things the same way he did last week and forego naming a starter ahead of Sunday night’s game against the Packers. Zimmer added that he hasn’t decided whether Shaun Hill or Sam Bradford will start, although his preference for keeping things close to his vest means he probably wouldn’t share it anyway.
“I just think it’s good for sports talk radio,” Zimmer said, via Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press.
Hill was 18-of-33 for 236 yards on Sunday. He didn’t lead the offense to a touchdown, but they did get six field goal attempts and he didn’t turn the ball over. Whether that’s enough to hold off Bradford for a big divisional game after the Vikings used a first-round pick to get him from Philly will be one of the leading Vikings storylines this week.
