Shazier leaves game with knee injury, won’t return

Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier has left Monday night’s game with the Redskins due to a knee injury.

The Steelers first announced that Shazier was questionable to return, then later in the fourth quarter announced that he’s out for the game.

A healthy Shazier is a key to the Steelers defense showing improvement in 2016 — and to the team’s success as a whole.

After breaking up what would have been a touchdown pass in the first quarter, Shazier intercepted Kirk Cousins in the third quarter Monday night.

Shazier missed seven games as a rookie due to injury and missed four last season.

Of course he does! Mr. Glass at inside linebacker.

Hope they have a backup headhunter.

that means Giovanni Bernard won’t have to worry about getting taken out next week.

I mean, what a bust. You can’t play the crappy Skins every week.

That guy is made of glass!

Just an awful draft pick. Their LBs are either old, overrated or plain bad/injured all the time.

    Shazier, Dupree and Jarvis Jones.

    Yikes!

Anyone who cheers for injuries is a punk. I hope it’s nothing serious and he’s back next game.

    Go Steelers!

Vince Williams is just as mean if not meaner. Next man up.

Got some jealousy going on here. And some bitterness.

Although I don’t like the Steelers, and people often cheer when Pats players get hurt, I’ll never root for a player to be injured. I hope it’s not too serious and he can return soon.

I’ll save my wise cracks for a more appropriate article.
