Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier told reporters after Monday night’s win that his knee “is completely fine.”

Shazier left the game in the fourth quarter and did not return. The team did not reveal the exact issue or extent of the injury but ruled him out of the game after initially announcing his return was questionable due to a right knee injury.

After the game, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said that Shazier would be evaluated Tuesday when the team returned to Pittsburgh and he would know more then.

Shazier had an interception in the third quarter Monday and broke up what would have been a touchdown pass for the Redskins in the first quarter. He’s become one of the Steelers’ best defensive players, and the team needs him for next Sunday’s rivalry game vs. the Bengals and beyond.

Injuries cost Shazier 11 games over his first two NFL seasons.

Glad he’s ok. This guy plays with heart- unlike Bryant & Bell, who focus their efforts on partying and making the teammates around work harder to make up for their failures.

As a steelers fan I’d like to say to the Redskins…… Yea I Like That!

Every game Ryan Shazier shows why he was a first round draft pick and why he’s a game changer. The guy knows how to ball and he’s likely the fastest LB in the NFL.

If he can stay healthy he will kill all of the “CJ Mosely” BS! CJ can’t cover a field like Ryan. The guy is a problem for offenses, and I’m glad they have him.

Ryan started the game off very poorly missing open field tackles for big gains near the line of scrimage.
