Stefon Diggs joins PFT Live

FILE - In this Dec. 6, 2015, file photo, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs watches from the ground during warmups before an NFL football game against the Seattle Seahawks, in Minneapolis. Diggs had a case for sleeper status a week ago, holding a consensus Average Draft Position (ADP) in the low 100s after producing big fantasy numbers over a pre-injury stretch for his owners last season. Now, with Bridgewater out and an uncertain future at quarterback, Diggs has gone from “he deserves more respect!” to, “maybe I’ll wait until next round for him.”(AP Photo/Ann Heisenfelt, File) AP

So much for a sophomore slump.

Despite concerns regarding a passing game led by journeyman Shaun Hill, second-year wideout Stefon Diggs tied a career high with 103 receiving yards in Sunday’s win over the Titans in Tennessee.

He’ll follow that with a far less significant accomplishment: Joining Monday’s PFT Live on NBC Sports Radio and NBCSN.

Diggs will dial us up at 8:35 a.m. ET for a chat about his Week One performance plus whatever else comes up. Like, perhaps, an attempt to get him to tell me who the starting quarterback will be for Week Two.

He surely doesn’t know because the Vikings don’t know because coach Mike Zimmer has yet to make a decision. Whatever the decision on quarterback, it’s a given that Diggs is the best receiver on the team, and also one of the best young receivers in the NFL.

Catch the show at 6:00 a.m. ET on Sirius 213, XM 202,, the NBC Sports Radio app. At 7:00 a.m. ET, we slide over to NBCSN.

This kid is going to be great- a lot to look forward to.

Once Bradford gets comfortable- Diggs will light it up.

I hope Bradford starts this week. Diggs can be a fantasy football monster with a qb who can make defenses pay for putting nine in the box. In any case, The Vikings defense is better than the packers offense so it should be a fun low scoring game.

It was great seeing him get utilized in other positions besides the slot. Diggs has the iciest cuts and even with a backup still managed to put up good numbers. Now all the Vikes need to do is find a way in the endzone. We can’t rely on defensive touchdowns to win us games.
