Which bandwagon are you abandoning?

With one week (almost) of NFL action in the books, it’s time to react. Not overreact or underreact. Just properly react.

So let’s properly react by reassessing the bandwagons onto which fans may have been climbing.

For Tuesday’s PFT Live on NBC Sports Radio and NBCSN, cast a vote for the team that has caused you to clamor most quickly to jump into a ditch and roll.

We’ll discuss the issue throughout the show, which includes a visit from Bengals receiver A.J. Green.

PFT Live gets started at 6:00 a.m. ET on NBC Sports Radio, before sliding to NBCSN at 7:00 a.m. ET. Every hour of every show can be downloaded via podcast at iTunes, Google Play, and audioBoom.

    The Jaguars have a bandwagon?

  2. jonwill57 says: Sep 12, 2016 2:21 PM

Colts defense played like cardboard cut-outs!

  3. nevyn49 says: Sep 12, 2016 2:24 PM

    Gotta be the Colts.

The Cards were playing the Pats. The Seahawks O only ever looks terrible or amazing, and usually looks like the former early. The Panthers were undone by a missed kick. the Jags played a good game against a tough team.

The Colts made the Lions rushing attack look amazing. They have the playmakers to win some this year, but they have no auto wins on their schedule with that o line and defense.

  4. Stiller43 says: Sep 12, 2016 2:24 PM

Jags hung tough with a SB favorite in the Packers (though I didn’t know they had a bandwagon – certainly couldn’t tell by the crowd reactions yesterday).

Colts are who they’ve been – mediocre.

Big loser is the Cards…can’t beat the Pats AT HOME on SNF without Brady OR Gronk? Yikes!

Stay true to your teams people!!!! Its a long season of ups and downs……

  6. nfl289 says: Sep 12, 2016 2:29 PM

Where are the Bills on this list at least we won the off season.

  7. sirxba says: Sep 12, 2016 2:29 PM

I don’t recall anyone getting on the Colts bandwagon for this season. If anything all “fantasy experts” randomly started boasting about how great of a year he’d have.

Seahawks didn’t either. Their bandwagon started in 2012 and has been going ever since.

Cards, Panthers and Jaguars definitely had bandwagons.

Only team I am not feeling out of all those are the Colts definitely. Jags are gonna smash the Colts twice this year.

  8. ricko1112 says: Sep 12, 2016 2:30 PM

    Has to be the Cards!

They lost to a NE team that was missing:

    Brady
    Gronk
Solder and Vollmer (starting L and R tackles)
    Dion Lewis
    Ninkovich (starting DE)

The offensive line were all rookies and back ups!

Plus the Cards were at HOME!

  9. BIGGSHAUN says: Sep 12, 2016 2:30 PM

Only delusional Cardinals fans thought they were legitimate SB contenders.

  10. LyinRogerMustGo says: Sep 12, 2016 2:30 PM

    Hope it’s not the Seahawks.

That would leave them with no fans and I’d hate to see that.

As a 3rd generation Giants guy (jag in the screen name is for just another guy as well as a ’59 Jaguar that is my favorite money pit) I’ve never been on a bandwagon but I would suggest your poll is a day early. By this time tomorrow there may be a great many sprained ankles in the greater DC area.

  12. chicagosportsfan11 says: Sep 12, 2016 2:36 PM

Colts D looked horrible, Cards looked rusty and may have missed their year. Seahawks looked like themselves. Jags looked solid enough to not all get fired this year and the Panthers look like they will make it to the NFC CG.

As a Bears fan I have time to critique other teams because mine is always crap. I hope they have the foresite to trade for Garoppolo when Bill decides it’s time to move him. if Brady really is committed to playing a few more years no reason to have that commodity on the bench.

  13. chesswhileyouplaycheckers says: Sep 12, 2016 2:40 PM

If all the Seahawks bandwagon fans jumped off at the same time there would be a 12.0 earthquake in the Pac NW

  14. sariff420 says: Sep 12, 2016 2:45 PM

This is dumb. Every one of the teams on this list lost except for the Seahawks. So why are they on there? They won and style points don’t matter . This is not college.
Also comments about bandwagon fans and Seattle are so forced its lame.

  17. guitarfreak21 says: Sep 12, 2016 2:48 PM

Seems to me there needs to be expectation of strong playoff presence for there to be a bandwagon… Colts and Jags don’t belong here. Seahawks are undependable, but they could crazy their way in. Cardinals played a good team regardless of who they were missing, and Panthers for all intents and purposes won it. Out of the three, I’m still thinking Seahawks are the most vulnerable here.

  18. tennesseeoilers says: Sep 12, 2016 2:50 PM

I’m surprised the Titans’ bandwagon didn’t make your list. You know, those who thought the team would be this year’s dark horse? … Then again, their bandwagon was essentially a Radio Flyer.

  19. 12444uggg says: Sep 12, 2016 2:52 PM

The fact that there’s a Jaguars bandwagon should be enough to tell anyone to get off of it.

  21. stoneydog1000 says: Sep 12, 2016 2:53 PM

  22. jmethane says: Sep 12, 2016 2:55 PM

Cardinals just lost half their vocal fanbase last night.

It’s not even about the game or who they were playing. That’s the Cardinal fanbase for you. They are all transplants down there.

“Our team is good, lets get some flags. Oh, we lost, I don’t like feeling like a loser…nevermind”

  23. jeffmage says: Sep 12, 2016 2:58 PM

I want to cast a write-in vote for the analytics bandwagon.

After watching the Browns get lit up by a quarterback they could have drafted and watching the Raiders win a game on a gutsy call from their head coach, I think it is time to put down the calculators and put some trust in experience and intuition.

i felt this was a year we could win 4 games……

maybe next year when we have 53 picks and 120 mill of cap room !!!!!!!!!!!

  28. stairwaytoharvin says: Sep 12, 2016 3:08 PM

Cards by a landslide… this was supposed to be a super bowl preview, yet one team was playing everyone at home and the other practically their B squad. Arians is one of the most overrated coaches in the league and the cat is out of the bag, shut down their deep passing attack and he gets frustrated and can’t adjust to the flow of the game at all.

I’m probably biased though, after he almost lost the playoff game to the packers by trying to outsmart everyone and throwing instead of bleeding the clock was asinine and hubris at its finest. Larry Fitz won’t be there to bail him out forever.

I climbed on the Patriots buckboard bandwagon in the late 70s. It traveled many a rough road for many years and tried to knock me off a few times, but I held on with a firm grasp as it rode through some of the deepest ruts imaginable.

Though there were occasional glimmers of hope from time to time, the buckboard finally emerged from the wasteland in the mid 90s and slowly transformed. For years now, it’s as if Belichick and Brady have been chauferring this bandwagon in a Bentley, and it sure feels great.

And now as the self-anointed I-team and it’s posse relentlessly takes shots at our ride, as if Bonnie and Clyde were in the front seat, the Patriots’ continued success makes the ride that much sweeter.

  30. 345snarkavenue says: Sep 12, 2016 3:14 PM

btw, I’m going with Colts, just because.

  31. rexdarteskimospy says: Sep 12, 2016 3:15 PM

Abandoning the Colts’ bandwagon would imply there were rational football fans who thought they had a chance at making the playoffs to begin with. The only way they’d be able to do that is if they win the AFC South, since the Wild Card competition will be steep. With the three other teams in the South being improved to various degrees this season, who in their right mind thought the Colts would actually win the division outright?

  39. MichaelEdits says: Sep 12, 2016 3:58 PM

Not a fair poll. I chose the Colts, even though I was never on their bandwagon, because it’s too soon to abandon any of the other four. All four teams played well in losses and showed that they can compete every week. #KeepPounding

I’m not a fan of any of these teams, so wouldn’t think I was on any of their “bandwagon”, but if I had to choose one of those teams, it would be the Colts

Why? Because what else can Luck do? Almost 4oo yards, 4 TD’s, no turnovers, and a loss? That is crazy. Plus, that was against a middle of the road Lions offense, what will that defense do against the more high octane offenses in the league? I just can’t see them being contenders unless that defense vastly improves, and I can’t see them vastly improving at this stage of the game

    Just stop with that silliness!

NE has had strong teams in every decade since they goined the NFL.

They went to a SB in the 80s, the 90s and 6 in the 2000s. They should have gone in the 70s too, but for the phantom roughing the passer call against the Raiders.

They’ve sold out every game since Kraft bought the team. There was also Bledsoe and Parcells before that.

25+ years is more than a bandwagon.

  42. jgedgar70 says: Sep 12, 2016 5:40 PM

I’m not abandoning my Panthers. All I’m doing is changing my prediction of our final record from 14-2 to 13-3. We’ll probably lose at Seattle and one road game we are supposed to win (NO, Atlanta and LA are possibilities). We’re still going undefeated at home and will still be the #1 seed.

  43. motsuret06 says: Sep 12, 2016 8:16 PM

The Panthers need to turn around their trend of losing since the demolition they took in the Super Bowl. They have not gotten over it and their defense was gashed by Denver in the running and passing games. The defense is suspect and especially the secondary, Winning cures all ills. They need to get the ship righted and turned around in the right direction or it is going to be a long season in Carolina.

Lucks might be very good but any team has over 50 players. I’m a Colts fan, but their coaching and front office (Grigson) do not have clue (but they have 5 year contracts!) on how to build a team.

  45. harril3 says: Sep 12, 2016 11:52 PM

The Colts are the worst of the five, but seriously, who thought the Irsay-Grigson-Pagano triumvirate would put something passable on the field? No one outside of Indy, so they rally don’t have a bandwagon yo jump off of. They should be replaced on the list with the Raiders who were crowned the offseason SB winners (snicker) and promptly ho gashed left and right by the lowly Saints.

That said, it has to be the Cardinals – frauds. Their rookie corner was getting lit up all pre-season, did they not think Belicheck would attack him? They were gifted an opening home game against the Pats missing Brady, Gronk, Ninkovich and 2 OL and looked over-matched. It’s a good thing for half their fans that they’re seasonal and can turn to golf and their first team instead.

  49. jags2daship says: Sep 13, 2016 2:35 PM

We dont have a band wagon. We have true fans who have been loyal to a crappy team for a long time. Keep taking your shots now. We will own this league for the next decade pretty soon. Brady Rapeyburger Rivers Palmer etc are getting old about to head to the retirement home for CTE dementia. This is Bortles league now. Cant wait to get that rematch with the Packers in Feb.

  50. number1hawkfan says: Sep 14, 2016 12:24 AM

Look at the Seahawks record starting when Pete, John and Russell got here. It’s good. It’s even better as the season goes on. The NFC better hope they lose soon because it doesn’t happen much in November and December. The bandwagon is going slow enough to jump on now but it’s gaining speed and will be out of reach soon.
