49ers make Harris-Harper roster swap, again

The 49ers made an interestingly familiar roster swap Tuesday.

They signed running back DuJuan Harris and waived wide receiver Chris Harper.

Monday, they had signed Harper and cut Harris. Harper was active for Monday night’s win over the Rams. At least for now, he’s no longer needed.

Harris had already been cut and re-signed once by the 49ers since they trimmed their roster to 53 players earlier this month. Harris played in two games for the 49ers last season and has also spent time with the Seahawks, Packers and Jaguars. He has two career rushing touchdowns and has played in 28 games.
